James L. Clark

James L. Clark, 85, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 1:32 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Northwest Health, La Porte. James L. Clark James L. Clark James L. Clark

 

He was born November 28, 1935, in Denver, Colorado, to Virgil Harold and Ardis Ruth (Miller) Clark. James honorably served his country in the United State Marines. He was a hard-working owner and operator of Trans American Inc. for 22 years.

 

James was passionate about trucking and it was also his hobby. He enjoyed being with family, especially with his grandchildren. James was often considered funny but he was also kind with being passionate with helping the less fortunate. He often would donate or have local churches borrow equipment for events as well. James will be greatly missed by his family.

 

Surviving are his significant other of 39 years, Maria Zamarripa of La Porte; three children, Michael (Kim) Clark of Riverside, CA, Elisa (Ryan) Mrozinski of La Porte and Christina Clark of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Dennis (Glenda) Clark of , OK; five grandchildren, Melissa Burger, Tyler (Arianna) Cadwell, Jacob Clark, Nolan Mrozinski and Madison Mrozinski; and four great grandchildren, Bryana Burger, Brandon Clark, Bryce Burger and Bryan Burger.

 

Preceding in death were his parents; and three siblings, Darlene, Sharon and Daryl Clark.

 

A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 with Deacon Bob Bucheit. Visitation and viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021 and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
