Bruce E. Lowery, 65, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Aperion Care Arbors in Michigan City, IN.

 

He was born October 11, 1955 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Evelyn (Peters) Lowery.

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Bruce graduated from La Porte High School and was a Car Cleaner for the South Shore Railroad (NITCD). He had an old Indian motorcycle, which he enjoyed riding. Bruce also liked to fish and golf.  On October 11, 2003, he married Joyce and together they traveled from coast to coast, finding beautiful spots to camp out.

 

Bruce is survived by his wife, Joyce; 3 sons, Jason (Rachele) Lowery of Frederick, Maryland, Josh Lowery of Portland, Oregon and Brandon Lowery of La Porte; 2 stepdaughters, Jessica (Joseph) Linville of Osceola, IN and Jennifer (Kelly) Taulbee of La Porte; grandchildren Isabella, Jackson, Lexi, Phoenix, Henry, George, Leo, Thomas, Ryne, Vincent, and Nolan.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. where the family will receive friends.  Cremation has been selected.
