Pollyanna Ford

Pollyanna Ford, 60, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Northwest Health-La Porte in La Porte, IN.

 

She was born February 23, 1961, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur Wayne Davis and Janet Sue (Goens) Lawson.

 

Pollyanna was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 434 of Kingsford Heights, the Moose, and VFW Post 1295 of Seymour, IN.  Pollyanna liked to fish and play Keno and bingo. Her favorite TV shows were "Little House on the Prairie," "The Young and the Restless," and "The Bold and the Beautiful." But everyone will agree that Pollyanna's biggest passion in her life was her love for her family. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, and a grandmother. She will truly be missed. 

 

She is survived by her husband Roderick; her father Arthur Wayne, father Arthur Lawson; four daughters, Charlotte (Charles Turner) Fair of San Diego, CA, Jennifer (Ricky) Kong of Columbus, IN, Brittney (Ronnie, Jr.) Barger of Seymour, IN, Toynalda (Cory) Walker of Jacksonville, FL; her son, Jerrod Ford of Seymour, IN; two adopted sons, Darryl Fields of Michigan City, IN, and Brandon Blood of Westfield, IN; four brothers, Barry Scott (Tina) Lawson of Seymour, IN, Raymond (Rosa) Lawson of Chula Vista, CA, Michael (Meta) Kisner of Michigan City, IN, Timothy (Meredyth) Davis of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Kathryn Gibson of La Porte, IN, Amanda (Alex) Kaufman of Muncie, IN; twelve grandchildren, Callia Fair, Brooklyn Fair, Avon’tai Fair-Turner, Tyler Slone, Kourtney Slone, Whitney Doyle, Sabria Corry, Ronnie Barger III, Phoenix Barger, Carson Barger, Lyrik Ford, Isaac Barger,; two great-grandchildren, Dalton, Makenzie; and three special kids, Boss, Scrappy, and Slick a Roo.

 

Pollyanna was preceded in death by her mother Janet Lawson, stepmother Lucinda Davis, daughter April Lynn Slone, grandson Christepher, great-grandchild Kennedy, and niece Cynthia Gibson.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, August 20 from 12 Noon until service time at 2 PM.  A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home at 2 PM. Interment will follow at a later date.
