Dwayne Kepplin

Dwayne Kepplin, 51, of La Porte passed away peacefully at 9:32 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021, at Golden Living Center-Fountainview Terrace.

He was born Aug. 10, 1969, in La Porte to Wayne and Cindy (Hildebrand) Kepplin.

Dwayne coached baseball, softball, wrestling and football for many years. Many of his years were spent with the Rolling Prairie Baseball Association as a coach. Dwayne’s favorite place was to be on or around a baseball field. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and playing football, basketball and baseball. Dwayne loved spending time with his family watching his children participating in their sports. He will be remembered as a loving father.

On Aug. 3, 2002, he married Ronda (Rogowski) Kepplin, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Cindy Kepplin of Rolling Prairie; one daughter, Kylie Kepplin of La Porte; one son, Grady Kepplin of La Porte; and one brother, Michael Kepplin of Rolling Prairie.

Preceding in death was his father, Wayne Kepplin.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Rolling Prairie Elementary School, Field 2, 605 E. Michigan Street, Rolling Prairie, Indiana, 46371. Casual attire is requested by the family. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, La Porte, 219-362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.
