Monica Rae Whelan, 51, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at 9:23 pm in I.U. Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the D.A.V., 2301 Ohio St., Michigan City, Indiana 46360. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Autism Society of America 4340 East-West Highway, Suite 350 Bethesda, MA 20814.
