Connie L. Lilly, 72, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 3:07 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at Northwest Health, La Porte.

 

She was born January 6, 1949, in La Porte, Indiana, to Garland H. and Imogene (Burger) Magers.

 

Connie was a bookkeeper for many years for various companies. She enjoyed baking and was an avid reader. Connie especially enjoyed taking good care of her family. Her husband considered her, “The best wife a man can have.” She was also the best grandmother. Connie always found the good in others. She will be deeply and greatly missed by her family and friends.

 

On October 24, 1967, in Three Oaks, Michigan, she married Archie Lee Lilly, who survives.

 

Also surviving are her two daughters, Lesa (Sylvester) Cotto and JoAnne (James) Tuttle both of South Bend; three siblings, Diane Widener of Mill Creek, Barbara Welkie of Charlotte, South Carolina and Carl (Kimberly) Magers of Rolling Prairie; and four grandchildren, Michelle (Chad) Jablonski, Tony Cotto, Jimmy (Cassie) Tuttle and Jessica Tuttle.

 

Preceding in death were her parents.

 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
