Sophia Maria Wilson, age 15 of LaPorte, Indiana passed away on June 16, 2021, in Eden, North Carolina.  Sofia was attending La Porte high school and loved being with family.

 

She is survived by her mother, Megan Heitz and father, Alfredo Jason Villano; maternal grandmother, Sue Heitz; brothers, Carlos Cruz Villano, Cortez Jason Villano, Montez David Villano; maternal aunt, Dorothy Heitz; maternal great aunt, Annette Eiler; paternal aunts, Angelica Villano, Teresa Villano, and Nancy Molina; and paternal uncles, her favorite, Ruben Villano, and David Villano.

 

She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Balletto; maternal uncles, Kevin, Richard, and John Heitz; paternal uncle, Calletano Molina; and a paternal cousin, Jesus Jimenez.

 

A vigil for Sophia will be held 8 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, near the bridge between Pine and Stone Lakes.

 

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Lake Cemetery with Pastor Bob Vale officiating.
