Danny W. Cavinder, Sr., 70, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

 

Danny was born on December 22, 1950 in La Porte, IN, to Warren DeWayne and Arlene Ruth (McKeehan) Cavinder.

 

Surviving are his children, Gretchen (Mark) Good-Smith of Hudsonville, MI, Danny (Jennifer) Cavinder, Jr. of  Battle Creek, MI, and Marc Cavinder of Bloomington; 6 grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Richard) Emmons of Anderson, IN; brother, Timothy (Christina) Cavinder of La Porte; fiancé, June Topa of La Porte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darla Sue Cavinder.

 

Danny worked for several companies as a materials manager and purchasing for many years.  He owned a steel fabrication company in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was a member of the CB Club.  Danny enjoyed golfing, fishing, socializing, and spending time with family at cookouts.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Vicar Tammie Jacobi officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
