Diana L. (Ott) Schoff, 68, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday June 16, 2021 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso, IN. with her family by her side.

 

She was born October 7, 1952 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Lee Roy Ott and Norma Jean (Gropp) Ott.

 

Diana was baptized at the Methodist Church in Springvale. As a lifelong resident of La Porte, she enjoyed bingo, watching NASCAR (her favorite driver was Ryan Newman), and she collected all sorts of knickknacks while going to auctions. She also had a collection of beanie babies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. They were her life. Diana was a classroom assistant at Hanley Elementary School and Park School. She also worked at the YMCA Daycare and La Porte Community Schools Child Care.

 

On June 26, 1971, in Michigan City, she married Robert W. Schoff who survives. They were looking forward to celebrating 50 years of marriage in just a few short days.

 

She is also survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Josh) Gross of Carmel, IN, and Laurie (Ryan) Scroggin of La Porte, IN; sister, Deb (Mike Johnson) Terzino; three grandchildren, Grayson Gross, Cooper Scroggin, Sophia Scroggin, and many other family members.

 

Diana was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathleen Snyder.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, June 19 at 12 NOON at Pine Lake Cemetery La Porte, IN.
