Susan E. Cable, 79, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Northwest Health - La Porte.

 

Susan was born on June 20, 1941 in La Porte, IN, to Glen "Bud" and Ethel (Short) Cable

 

Surviving are her sister, Ellen (Dennis) Christensen of Fish Lake; sister-in-law, Barbara Cable; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews.

 

She was preceded by her parents and brothers, Gerald and Glen Cable.

 

Susan worked as a beautician in Stillwell, Indiana and also worked at the La Porte County Courthouse for 27 years.  She served as the Pleasant Township Trustee for 26 years.  Susan enjoyed drinking Bloody Mary's, cooking, baking, and especially making her special peanut butter fudge.  She enjoyed going for drives and traveling to St. Joseph, MI, Shipshewana, and Florida. Susan had a great sense of humor. 

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Kay Bond officiating.  Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
