Ronald Jaquess, 65, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday May 14, 2021 at his home.

 

He was born February 24, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Fred Jaquess and Lue (Hutto) Jaquess.

 

Ron came to La Porte 25 years ago from Texas.  He met and married Connie Lynn Wood, who survives him. Ron retired as a factory worker for House of Fara just over 1 year ago.  He enjoyed going on walks, reading, especially western books and being from Texas was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time just being with Connie.

 

In addition to his wife, Ron is also survived by his three step-sons, Brandon Michael Proud of La Porte, IN, Zachery Alan Proud of La Porte, IN, Austen Tyler Wood of La Porte, IN;

 

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. The family has selected cremation.
