Melvin Ray Williamson Jr., 58, of Union Mills, Indiana, passed away Friday May 7, 2021 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.

 

He was born December 17, 1962 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Melvin Williamson, Sr. and Wanda (Hall).

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Melvin was an uncompromising man who lived life his way. He worked as a manufacturer of Modular Homes. Melvin also was an excellent cook. Some of Melvin’s pastimes were "Cars, Guns, and Rock and Roll!" 

 

He is survived by his brother Steven (Shanda) Williamson of Azusa, CA and several nephews; Glenn, Charlie, Bryan, Chad, Chaylon, Ryan, Joshua, Seth and Shane.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Donald, Michael and Jerry; sister Connie and niece Adrienne.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. where a gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m.  Bryan Burden will be officiating the service. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Union Mills Cemetery.
