Frederick John Wise, 62, of La Porte, passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2021 at Northwest Health - La Porte.
He was born November 1, 1958, in La Porte, Indiana, to Reginald and Marjorie (Hibner) Wise.
Frederick worked in construction. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his children, Mathew Wise of Rolling Prairie, Amanda (Ronald Meer) Rauli of Lake Station and Harley Bryant of La Porte; his significant other, Elizabeth Vanderpool of La Porte; one brother, Reginald (Kay) Wise II of New Mexico; and eight grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Jacob and Lillian Wise, Kayla Smith, Kyle Rogers, Aden Murray and Corey Bryant.
Preceding in death were his parents; and one stepson, Cody Bryant.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
