John Robert Wilson, 55, of Amite, Louisiana, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.
John was born November 12, 1965, in La Porte, Indiana to Robert and Joyce (Upp) Wilson.
John is survived by a daughter, Courtney (David Emmons) Pinks of Walkerton, Indiana; a son, Nathan (Lindsey) Wilson of Kewanna, Indiana; a grandson, Cohen Pinks; his mother, Joyce Wilson of Kingsford Heights, Indiana; and a sister, Juli (Rick) Boisvert of North Judson, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Wilson.
John was an automotive body technician and had been employed with Ferrara Fire Apparatus in Louisiana. He loved everything 4 X 4, trucks, 4-wheeling, and the outdoors. Above all he dearly loved his children and grandson, never hesitating to make his affection known. He will be deeply missed by many friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet, Indiana, A Celebration of Life for John will follow the burial at the American Legion, 500 Grayton Road, Kingsford Heights, Indiana 46346.
