Randall "Randy" L. Kessler

Randall "Randy" L. Kessler, 77, of La Porte, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Northwest Health - La Porte.

 

Randy was born on January 19, 1944 in La Porte, IN, to Leo and Marie (Clark) Kessler.

 

On August 17, 1991 he married Carol Cains, who survives.  Also surviving are his children,  Pamela (Eric) Hunsley of Union Mills, Debra (Roger Grieger) Bennitt of Rock Tavern, NY, Rich (Alivia) Oberle of La Porte, and Mike (Jen) Oberle of La Porte; 19 grandchildren, John (Jadie) Hunsley, Cassandra (Kyle) Principe, Danielle Bennitt, Payton Bennitt, Hannah Grieger, Clayton Grieger, Garrett (Whitney) Grieger, Reihle Oberle, Areonna Oberle, Wyatt Oberle, Avery Fox, Jeep Kniola, Arlaux Schultz, Atticus Schultz, Archie Schultz, Noah Oberle, Ian Oberle, Caleb Rose, and Isabella Oberle; 1 great-grandson, Hugh Hunsley; brother-in-law, Art Cohen of La Porte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded by his parents; sister, Donna Cohen; and 2 grandchildren, Sabrina Oberle and Arissa Gaekle.

 

Randy was a diesel mechanic for many years.  He enjoyed cars, NASCAR, and tractor pulls.  Randy also enjoyed and was very skilled at building things, making many items for his home.   Randy dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow the service.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

 

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask.
