Thelmo Hill, 88, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday March 1, 2021 at his home in La Porte, IN.

 

He was born May 18, 1932 in Lafollette, Tennessee, the son of Nathan Hill and Maggie (Accuff) Hill.

 

Thelmo moved here from Tennessee in 1952. Aaron was extremely talented and could build just about anything. He created a design for rocking chairs with 3 different styles and he upholstered several cars that were featured in Hot Rod magazines. Around the house he would work on cars and lawnmowers always making sure they were operating properly. Fondest memory from his daughter was when he built her a special elaborate birdhouse.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Yvette (Stephan) Hardwick of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Higgins, Adam (Kelli) Hardwick; great-grandchild, Owen Hardwick;

 

Thelmo (Aaron) was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife, Ada Mae Holt.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN 46350. Due to the COVID-19 concerns the family has decided to postpone services at this time.
