Sharon Kay Cook

Sharon Kay Cook, 68, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021.

 

Sharon was born on July 10, 1952, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Edward and Georgia (Rairdon) Harris.

 

On July 20, 1974, Sharon married Clinton A. Cook, Jr. who preceded her in death on November 16, 2003.

 

Sharon had a fun-loving spirit who believed in living life to its fullest.  She fiercely loved her family, being surrounded by her children and grandchildren gave her the greatest joy.  She was a true servant, always wanting to take care of those she loved.  Sharon was loved by many because of her vibrant, energetic personality and had a contagious smile & laugh.  Life will be a little less colorful without her.

 

Sharon was a retired lab technician with T. P. Orthodontics and graduated from La Porte High School.

 

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Cali (Andy) Long of Larwill, Indiana; a son, Chad (Tonya) Cook of La Porte, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Carter Cook, Ellie Cook, Calvin Cook, Hannah Long, Taylor Long, Hunter Long, Jacob Evans, Vanessa Evans, Addison James, Brooklyn James; and a brother, William (Judy) Harris of La Porte, Indiana along with numerous family members whom she loved.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Lynn Rose, and Janet Bell.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
