Dennis J. “Denny” Zila, 68, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born on November 19, 1952, in La Porte to the late Thomas and Marguerite (Leroy) Zila.

 

Denny was the owner of D. Z. Builders in La Porte.  On September 12, 2009, Denny married Paulette Atwood who survives with their children, Jessie Pfeiffer of La Porte, Amber (Nate) Mrozinski of Rolling Prairie, Frank (Laura) Pfeiffer of Bluffton, South Carolina, Craig (Ashley) Pfeiffer of Erie, Colorado; grandchildren, Halie, Madison, Landon, Brody, Blair, Baylor, Daphne, Clio; and a brother, Bill Zila of La Porte.  Denny was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thomas “Butch” Zila.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  A private burial will take place at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana.
