Thomas Lee Yagoda, Sr., 56, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Northwest Health Hospital in La Porte.

 

Thomas was born July 9, 1964, in La Porte, Indiana the son of the late Joseph Yagoda Sr. and Wanda (Mick) Yagoda. Thomas lived in Rolling Prairie, Indiana most of his life. He entered matrimony with his lovely wife, Suzanna Yagoda on July 25, 2015.

 

Thomas is survived by his children, Jayme Argenzio of New Carlisle, Thomas Yagoda, Jr. of New Carlisle, John Yagoda of Culver; stepchildren, Roxanne, Jesse, and Romeo Madden of Chicago; eight grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia (Richard) Vermilyer of Westville, Eleanor (Jim) Glen of Fish Lake, John (Lea) Yagoda of La Porte, and Joseph Yagoda of Michigan City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Yagoda; his parents; and a sister, Carol Yagoda.

 

Thomas worked in the automotive service industry for many years, which was his passion. He held an associate degree from Ivy Tech College. He became disabled from a work-related injury but that did not stop this stubborn man. He did endless projects at home. He was inventive and a man of many trades and taught his children, friends, and his wife almost everything. He knew about survival.

 

Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with burial following at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
