Dolly May Gibson

Dolly May Gibson, 78, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, January 22, 2021.

 

Dolly was born May 25, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Bud and Dorothy (Smith) Farmer.

 

On January 26, 1963 Dolly married Tom Gibson who survives.

 

Dolly leaves behind her husband, Tom; a son, Richard O. Gibson of La Porte, Indiana; two grandchildren, Andrew Gibson, Carly (Jason) Seyring; and; three great-grandchildren, Emerson, Hayden and Sara; and three brothers, Terry (Hope) Farmer of Ashland City, Tennessee, Roger (Sue) Farmer of Ashland City, Tennessee, and Dale Farmer of Prescott, Arizona.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly.

 

Dolly retired in 1983 from Lake Side Central where she was an accountant.  She also worked at Chicago School Supplies, and Sandusky from 1983-1986 in sales and made grinding wheels.  She was a member of St. Pius Church in Chicago.  Dolly received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marine Valley College.  She also attended Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame.

 

Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
