Floyd VanDusen, 68, of Rolling Prairie, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Fountainview Terrace - Golden Living Center, La Porte.
Floyd was born on September 3, 1952 in La Porte, IN, to Floyd and LaDonna (Drews) VanDusen.
On September 12, 1970 in Rolling Prairie, he married Deloris M. who survives. Also surviving Floyd are his daughter, Donna VanDusen-Wilcox of South Bend; 2 grandchildren, Hannah and Samuel Wilcox, both of South Bend; brothers, Bill Dedrich of Kingsbury and Terry VanDusen of La Porte; sisters, Margie Arnett of Walkerton, LaDonna Perry of Union Mills, and Dolores (Randy) Stout of Union Mills; 2 nephews who were like sons, Larry (Kristen) Moss and Brian Young, all of Union Mills; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family who were near and dear.
He was preceded by his parents; sister, Geraldine Young; nephew, Joshua Moss; and brother-in-laws, Paul Perry and Michael Arnett.
Floyd was a construction worker for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting searching for arrowheads, and feeding animals and birds. Floyd also enjoyed visiting many coffee shops.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of six feet. The family respectfully requests a limit of 25 people in the building at any given time. We kindly ask for your patience as we oversee this request.
