Vincent Richard Shortt, 82, of Rolling Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Vincent was born on February 7, 1938 in Windber, PA, to Vincent W. and Evelyn Marie (Dobbins) Shortt.

 

On November 26, 1960 in St. Peter Catholic Church, La Porte, he married Linda Lucille McCormick who survives.  Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy A. and  Maggie C. Shortt of Rolling Prairie.

 

He was preceded by his parents and brother, Thomas Shortt.

 

Vincent worked in maintenance for many years at Easy Heat Wirekraft.  He retired in January 1998.

 

Vincent enjoyed woodworking.  He regularly delivered for Meals on Wheels and found great joy in helping those needing a helping hand, particularly during the Christmas season putting up their Christmas trees.  Vincent loved to travel and watching his outdoor cats.  

 

Vincent and Linda celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past November.  For their 50th anniversary, they celebrated in Ireland.  The memories created during their marriage will forever be remembered and cherished by the family.                

 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. 

 

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service  is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of six-feet.  Also, we are limited to 25 people in the building at any given time.  We kindly ask for your patience as we oversee these mandated guidelines.
