Donna Marie Latchford, 78, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Northwest Health in La Porte.

 

Donna was born on August 31, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, to Joseph and Josephine (LoBrutto) Calderaro.

 

On August 20, 1960 in Buffalo, NY, she married William J. Latchford who survives.  Also surviving are her children, Lynn Latchford of Knox, Mark (Kim) Latchford of Valparaiso, and Angel Riccione of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, James Knapp, Brian (Mallorie) Knapp, Dalton Knapp, Lisa (Dennis) Traub, Nick, Brittany (Taz), Gabrielle, and Dillon Latchford; 6 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Rylee, Maddox, Ryatt, Tanner and Vivian; sister, Sara Jane Maraschello; as well as numerous nieces and nephews of Buffalo, NY.

 

She was preceded by her parents and sister, Clarine Carpentieri.

 

Donna was a Banquet Manager at Sheridan East Hotel in Cheektowaga, New York and at Holiday Inn in Michigan City for 25 + years.  She was a member of the PNA Club #1120.  Donna enjoyed holiday gatherings, playing on-line puzzle games, face-timing family, redecorating her home, and traveling to New York to visit her family and friends.  In 1980, she made a ceramic tree and manger which she took great pride in.  Donna loved time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow the service.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. 

 

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of six feet.  Also, we are limited to 25 people in the building at any given time.  We kindly ask for your patience as we oversee these mandated guidelines.
