Karen Ann Kelleher, 80, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family.

Private services will be held at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born February 27, 1940 in Michigan City, IN to the late Walter and Elsie (Markel) Bartels.

Surviving are two daughters, Valerie (Michael) Drubert and Kristine (Darren) Kaplan, both of Michigan City, IN; son, Scott Kelleher of Trail Creek, IN; grandchildren, Brenden (Mariah) Kelleher, Dakota Kaplan and Isabella Kaplan; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kelleher and Wes Kelleher; many nieces and nephews; her precious dog, Lola; and her many friends from high school she continued her strong bond with through the years.

She was preceded in death by father, Walters Bartels; mother, Elsie Bartels; two sisters, Shirley Woolman and Doris Harris and former husband William (Lee) Kelleher.

Karen had worked at The Social & Learning Institute. Her passions were gardening, card games, animals, having fun and spending time with her family
