Jerry Lee Holt, 85, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Brentwood at La Porte, surrounded by her family.

 

Jerry was born on November 22, 1934 in Walkerton, IN, to Jesse and Eleanor (Murphy) Wisler.

 

On November 18, 1955 in Kingsford Heights, IN, she married Dee Owen who passed July 23, 2019.  Surviving Jerry are her children, Curtis Holt of La Porte, Brenda Jones of Rolling Prairie, and Lana Mitchell of Franklin, TN; 4 grandchildren, Desiree (Steve Morris) Perez of Nashville, TN, Brett Jones of Michigan City, Kyle Jones of Rolling Prairie, and Casey Jones of Gunnison, CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded by her parents; brother, Larry Wisler; and sisters, Merrie Gurrola and Mary Dreibelbis.

 

Jerry worked at Allis Chalmers for 10 years and Scott Forseman for 23 years. She enjoyed sewing, watching birds flock to the bird feeder, and attending the annual POPS concert at the Civic Auditorium  Most importantly, Jerry enjoyed visiting with her family and attending Bible studies.

 

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery.  Pastor Matt Ohime will be officiating.
