John “Jack” David Cattron, 69, of Utica, New York, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020. 

 

He was born on March 12, 1951, in La Porte to the late Margaret Helen (Haag) Cattron and Royce Gene Cattron of La Porte. 

 

John was a graduate of La Porte High School and Ball State University. He had a love for the Arts, which included performing in the La Porte Little Theater.

 

John had worked in the family business, Cattron Electrical Contractors, a guard and truck driver with Howmet-Austenal, and a Counselor with the Westville Correction Facility. 

 

John is survived by his father, Royce G. Cattron of La Porte; sisters, Theresa Bailey of La Porte, and Connie Dickson of La Porte; nieces & nephews, Samantha (Jason) Parmley, Danielle (Jeremy) Case, Adam (Jennifer) Bailey; and many great-nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret H. Cattron, and brother-in-law, Ken Dickson.   

 

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2020, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m.
