Matthew LeRoy Moore, 32, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

 

Matthew was born on October 3, 1988, in La Porte, IN, to Ron LeRoy Moore and Roxann Louise (Kinas) Rettinger.

 

On June 8, 2013 in Michigan City, IN, he married Tabitha E. Worthington who survives.  Also, surviving are his sons, Mason L. (6 y.o.) and Maddix T. (3 y.o.) Moore; father, Ron (Tammy Merryfield) Moore of La Porte; mother, Roxann (Nate) Rettinger of La Porte; siblings, Brittne Moore of Lowell and Caleb Rettinger of La Porte; grandmother, Nora Ann Kinas of South Bend; and brother-in-law, Josiah Pittman of La Porte.

 

He was preceded by his grandmother, Joan Moore and grandfathers, Frank Moore and Robert Kinas, Sr.

 

Matthew was a steelworker for 1 1/2 years at Arcelor Mittal.  He enjoyed playing softball, watching college basketball, and attending Cubs games.   Matthew was a member of the St. Joe Club Bags League.  He enjoyed being a field representative for Headbangersports.com.  Most importantly, Matthew enjoyed and cherished being with his two precious sons and loving wife.      

 

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

 

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation/service is required to wear a mask.  Attendance is limited to 50 at any given time.
