Sophie Amelia Nan Hee Howard, 22, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at Franciscan Hospital in Michigan City. 

 

She was born on February 24, 1998 in Taegu, South Korea. She was welcomed into her adoptive family by her loving parents Sarah Noonan of Michigan City, Indiana, and Jamison Howard of University Park, Maryland on August 7, 1998. 

 

Sophie loved to cook, and she was a creative and inspired chef. With her humor, sass, and quiet wisdom, Sophie always found a way to nourish those close to her. She was an organ donor, and her gifts will bring healing and peace to many other families. 

 

Sophie is survived by her parents; brothers, Sam Howard of New Carlisle, Indiana, Gabe Howard of Michigan City, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Edward and Eve (Williams) Noonan of Chicago, Illinois; and her paternal grandmother, Ann Howard of Farmington, Connecticut along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her kindness and passion will live on and always shine warm and bright.

 

Cremation will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana.
