Barbara Jean Geswein, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Golden Living Center in La Porte.

 

Barbara was born on October 3, 1941 in Des Moines, IA, to Wayne and Ruth (Holliday) Hilmer.

 

She was married to William Geswein who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her two daughters, Bernadette (Greg) Atkins of Grove City, Ohio and Samantha (Steve) Held of New Buffalo, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Abbie Bryant, Justin Atkins, Braden Atkins, Brook Lakota Allison, and Bailey Ferrell; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (David) Briednbach of California; husband, James Jackson of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, William.  

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
