Nancy Sue Snodgrass, 79, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Life Care Center of Michigan City.
Nancy was born on April 17, 1941 in Yorktown, IN, to Lee and Martha (Cox) Snodgrass.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Joan (Paul) Coffman, Virginia Shenefield, Robert (Glenna) Snodgrass, William Snodgrass; and brother-in-law, Bernard King.
Surviving are her sisters, Donna (Ben) Slocum of Niles, Michigan and Dorothy King of Lake Worth, Florida; nieces and nephews: Mary, Bruce, Kenny, Ron, Kathy, Robin, Donny, Ricky, Steve, Tim, Eddie, Tina, Erin, and Tammy; sister-in-law, Diane Snodgrass; and brother-in-law, Jerry Shenefield. In recent years, Nancy was a "grandmother" figure to her great-niece, Brianne Polk and her daughters, Lilly, Kinsley, and Carlie as well as great-niece and great-nephew, Amelia and Asher Stanfill.
Nancy was small enough to fit in your pocket, but she left a big impression in everyone's life. There was not a person who Nancy met that did not feel loved by her. She had a beloved dog named Coco who, while alive, never left her side. Nancy was very creative with her hook rugs and many art projects. She loved to tell stories. She never saw a warm day in her life and consequently was never without a coat and a story. Nancy had the faith of a child and aged gracefully.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place in the Spring of 2021.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Donna Slocum, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350.
