Dorothy Bernice Rosenbaum, 97, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at her home.

 

Dorothy was born on June 5, 1923, in La Porte, IN, to George and Bernice Zabel.

 

On October 16, 1943, in San Diego, CA, she married Michael "Mickey" who preceded her in death.  Surviving Dorothy are her daughter, Diane (George) McCoy of La Porte; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Zabel of Three Oaks, MI, Jim (Doris) Zabel of Three Oaks, MI, Chuck (Ruthann) Zabel of Three Oaks, MI, and Don (Mindy) Zabel of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randall Rosenbaum; and brothers, Junior Zabel and Tom Zabel. 

 

Dorothy was a homemaker.  She enjoyed eating out, especially at Christos.  Dorothy also enjoyed golfing and flowers.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A private family graveside service, at Salem Cemetery, will take place at a later date.
