Clarence "Bud" P. Moore

Clarence “Bud” P. Moore, 96 of Englewood, Florida, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020.

 

Bud was born May 5, 1924, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Clarence and Hulde (Wedow) Moore.

On November 15, 1947, in La Porte, Bud married Eloise May Miller who survives.

 

Bud worked as a mason and supervisor foreman for Walsh Construction which built Augusta Nuclear Power Plant.  He also worked as a foreman at Bethlehem Steel. He was a former member of La Porte Presbyterian Church, Excelsior Lodge 41, Scottish Rite in South Bend, Consistory 32, Orak Shriners, American Legion Post #0159, a life member of Veterans of Foreign War, and he served in the United States Navy in World War II.  He liked to fish, play cards, coach basketball, and he always made himself available to help others.

 

Bud is survived by his wife, Eloise; children, Gail Kujawski, Judi (Joe) Hahn, and Garry (Cindee) Moore; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Marge Hueckstedt and Mary Jane Thompson.

 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sarah DiPaolo for her loving care for Bud and his family.

 

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana
