Joseph B. Bozek

Joseph B. Bozek, 87 passed away at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

He was born in La Porte, Indiana to Joseph J. and Marguerite B. (McDonald) Bozek. He was a 1950 graduate of Rolling Prairie High School and later served as a member of the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 from which he was honorably discharged as a Corporal. When he returned home he met Carol S. Arndt and they were united in marriage on November 9, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte.

 

He retired from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in 1983 as the office manager in Lake County Indiana. Joseph enjoyed going to Texas and Nevada during the winter prior to moving to Las Vegas. In his free time, he liked fishing, camping around Indiana, family reunions and spending time with loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Carol; 4 children, James L.(Brooke) Bozek of Las Vegas, NV, Karla M. Rejak of McCordsville, IN, Paula K. Purkal of Fish Lake, IN, Josette I. (Marc) Klemp of Plano, TX; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Arnold) Schoof, Jane Arndt; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Eugene; son, Timothy Francis, and rescue dog Zen.

 

Burial will be in Patton Cemetery in La Porte on July 25, 2020, with family in attendance. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana.
