Debra Anne Williams, 66, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at her home, with family by her side. 

   

Debra was born in La Porte, IN, on November 28, 1953, to James J. and Rose Ruth (Nowfel) Showley. 

 

On September 30, 2017, in La Porte, IN, she married David "Jay" who survives.  Also surviving are her daughter, Stephanie (Matt) Graham of La Porte; 2 grandchildren, Chaise Magnuson and Morgan Graham, both of La Porte; sister, Reneé (Don) Organ of La Porte; and niece, Ashley (Dan) Roberts of New York.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Sanford Showley; and father-in-law, Ron Williams.

 

Debra was a manager for many years at the Grill House on 9 at Briar Leaf Golf Club.  She was a member of the Briar Leaf Ladies League, Tight Lies Golf League, and La Porte Yacht Club.  Debra was an avid golfer.  She enjoyed gardening and traveling, but most importantly, spending time with family and friends.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Father Gordon Kalil officiating.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.  Cremation with burial will take place at a later date.
