Martha "Punk" Eloise Hindsley, 88, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020, at her home.

 

Martha was born on March 23, 1932, in Delfore, AR, to Cromwell and Nanette (Medley) West.

 

On April 15, 1954, in San Diego, CA, she married James, who preceded her in death in 2001.  Surviving Martha are her sisters, June (Gene) Collings of Elyria, OH, Bobbie Cole of Chesterton, and Iris Tillinghast of La Porte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Myrtle, Gladys, Dorothy, Sarah "Soupie", Yvetta "Billie", and Martha's identical twin, Mary; and brother, Walter "Bud".

 

Martha worked in data entry for over 30 years at Whirlpool.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and knitting.  Martha owned and enjoyed a cabin in Washington Island, WI. 

 

A private family Graveside Service will be held at Patton Cemetery with great-nephew, Brad Hindsley, officiating.
