Donald Lee Berg, 89, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 4:45 pm in Trail Creek Place, Michigan City, Indiana.

A private service will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

He was born January 21, 1930, in Knox, IN to the late William and Flossie (Fear) Berg. On February 26, 1956, in Michigan City, Indiana he married Martha M. (Norris) Berg who preceded February 23, 2020.

Surviving are two sons, Scott (Cathy) Berg of La Porte, IN, Jeff (Debbie) Berg of Michigan City, IN; three grandchildren, Connie Myres, Brian (Jennifer) Berg, Lynsey (Larry) Gust; five great-grandchildren, Brayden Myres, Gavin Myres, Collin Berg, Addison Gust, Jaxson Gust; sister, Martha Smith. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Marie Pulaski, Lucille Piazza, Dorothy Seidlinger, Rita Jones, Esther Welch.

Donald retired after working 37 years as a boiler assembler at Well-McClain in Michigan City. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #37 in Michigan City.
