Daniel L. Lemons Sr., 76, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 12:55 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Indiana.

Private family services will be conducted with Rev. William O'Toole officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

He was born July 31, 1943, in Michigan City, IN to the late Clifford and Eleanor (Novak) Lemons. On January 13, 1962, in New Buffalo, Michigan he married Wilma (Carpenter) Lemons who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three sons, Daniel Lemons, Jr. of Michigan City, IN, Jonathan (Mary) Lemons of Chesterton, IN, William Lemons of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Debra (Jim) Alexander of New Albany, IN, Sandra (Bruce) Ulam of La Porte, IN; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; step-brother, Steve Lemons of Michigan City, IN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Lemons.

Daniel retired in 2000 after working 40 years as a supervisor for the Iron Workers Union Local #395. Daniel was a very charitable man and donated to many organizations. He enjoyed doing yard work at his home and loved taking his grandchildren for rides in his 1966 Cadillac convertible. Daniel loved watching NASCAR on Sundays and listening to Polka music. Daniel's best friend was his special dog "Brownie".
