Jerry L. Dismore

Jerry L. Dismore, 76, of Rolling Prairie, passed away peacefully at 5:40 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2020, in his home surrounded by family.

 

He was born March 22, 1944, in Francesville, IN, to George and Freda (Lear) Dismore.

Jerry retired in 2006 from Maple City Trucking, Kingsbury, IN, after 40 years of service.

On April 25, 1976, in Sawyer, MI, he married his wife of 44 years, Judi (Stantz) Dismore, who survives.

 

Also surviving are three daughters, Dawn (Al) Mitchell of La Porte, Kim (Sam) Halter of Rolling Prairie and Racquel Hanna of Sarasota, FL; one son, Chad Dismore of La Porte; three brothers, Walter Dismore of Monticello, IN, Butch (Marlene) Dismore of Cassville, MO, and Steven Dismore of Waterville, IA; nine grandchildren, Brittini (Aaron) Johnson, Ryan Biederstadt, Megan (Bo) Barger, Joey Brozik, Stefani Mitchell, Nick Brozik, Jacob Mitchell, Ian Mitchell and Bubby Mitchell; and twelve great-grandchildren, Ava Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Elliot Johnson, Aubrianna Geissler, Karley Price, Emmaleigh Price, Madisyn Price, Briana Biederstadt, Al Mitchell, III, Bailey Mitchell, Wyatt Barger and one on the way in July 2020.

Preceding in death were his parents; two sisters, Thelma Mueller and Vicky Stacey; two brothers, Stanley Dismore and Jack Dismore; and one son, Scott Dismore.

 

A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 with Pastor Kurt Feneley officiating.  Visitation and viewing will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020 and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday, May 8, 2020 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
