Christopher Albert Follmer, 37, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at his home in La Porte.

 

He was born on October 11, 1982, in Valparaiso, Indiana, the son of Peter Follmer and Susan Seedorf Parker.

 

Christopher was a lifelong resident of the area, living in Michigan City before moving to La Porte at the beginning of Middle School. On July 26, 2013, Christopher married his loving wife of 7 years, Belinda Myburgh, in La Porte. Because of his love for music, he learned to play the guitar but found the drums to be his favorite. He was a drummer in several bands, the most recent being "Penitentiary". Christopher was a jokester who loved being with his friends and making them laugh. He adored his Pitbull, Blu, and was a wonderful father to his 16-year-old son, Brandon who he loved very much.

 

In addition to his wife Belinda and his son Brandon, Christopher is survived by his mother, Susan Parker, step-father Rolland Parker, and father, Peter Follmer; three brothers, Jeffrey Follmer of Boca Raton, Florida, Ryan (Suzanne) Follmer of Otsego, Minnesota, and Adam (Jamie) Follmer of La Porte.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. where cremation has taken place. A life celebration will be announced at a later date.
