Stephen J. Gawronski, 51, Michiana Shores, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020, at 8:41 pm in, Michiana Shores, Indiana.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

He was born June 26, 1968, in Michigan City, IN to Theodore and Barbara (Retseck) Gawronski. On October 26, 2019, in Three Oaks, Michigan he married Erin Leonard who survives.

Also surviving are step-son, Kenny Kirleis; step-daughter, Mary Kirleis; sister, Mary (Nathan) Iverson; brother, Bill (Eileen Steinhiser) Gawronski; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

Stephen was a self-employed businessman earning degrees from Indiana University, DePaul University, and the University of Notre Dame. Stephen was a brilliant businessman with a wonderful heart. He was loved dearly by everyone who knew him. Stephen enjoyed being outdoors and participating in hobbies such as golfing, cycling, and hiking. He also enjoyed spending time with his two dogs, "Lucky" and "Andre".
