Jesse "Jay" Ramirez Sr., 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois.
Private family services will be conducted. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.
He was born April 16, 1946, in Navasota, TX to the late Apolinar and Isidra (Pena) Ramirez. On February 14, 2020, in Michigan City, Indiana he married Maritza (Bee) Ramirez who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Also surviving are five sons, Apolinar Ramirez, Jay (Kim) Ramirez Jr., Jaime (Pamela) Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez, Agustin Ramirez; four daughters, Annette Ramirez, Anita Ramirez, Juanita Ramirez, Janette (Salvador) Chavez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Beatrice Leal, Juanita Munoz, Margaret Feliciano, Josephine Montalvo.
Jesse was a member of Our Lady of Fatima in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed his job as a salesman and liked selling at flea markets. He also enjoyed playing pool and billiards.
