Cynthia Kay Anderson-Holman

Cynthia Kay Anderson-Holman,  65, of Rolling Prairie, passed away peacefully at 10:35 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in her home.

 

She was born May 21, 1954, in Gary, Indiana, to Frank Kermit and Gloria Francis (Corbett) Anderson.

 

Cynthia was formerly an industrial engineer and retired as an auditor for the IRS. She was a religious follower of Jesus Christ. Cynthia had a strong passion of dolls. Her and a group of friends created a doll club that restored and created dolls. She also sewed dresses with the Methodist church that she attended. These dresses were sent to children in Haiti. Cynthia also enjoyed playing cards, especially “cheating” at cards. She was a loving wife and was the best mom and sister anyone could have.

 

On October 24, 1992, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Harrison Ray Holman, who survives.

 

Also surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Holman of Rolling Prairie; three step-children, Andrew Holman of South Bend and Sheryl Kingery and Virginia Kirkland both of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Tina (Garry) Cook of Valparaiso and Kimberly Rhymer of Crown Point; step-grandchildren, Morgan Kirkland, Jessica Holman, and Shelby Holman; niece, April Cook; nephew, Deven Rhymer; best friend, Delia Helpingstine; and their best neighbors, The Motts- Ken and Sherri.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; and one sister, Rebecca Anderson.

 

Cremation will take place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
