Donald Lotter, 61, of Mill Creek, passed away peacefully at 2:03 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2020, at La Porte Hospital.
He was born March 6, 1959, in La Porte, Indiana, to Coy and Beulah Bell (Hancock) Lotter.
Donnie worked as a carpenter most of his life, but worked at A & R Truss, New Buffalo, MI, and Aero Metals, La Porte, IN. He liked to fish, read, watch movies and spend time with family. He was always happy and joking with everyone. He would do anything for anyone.
Surviving are his six siblings, Daniel F. Lotter of La Porte, Donna S. (Harold) Rowe of New Buffalo, MI, Diana J. (Jerry) McCoy, Dora D. (Clyde) Armstrong, Douglas L. Lotter and Dewayne C. Lotter all of Mill Creek, IN; five nieces; two nephews; nine great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great-niece; one great-great-nephew; and his beloved dogs, Lightning and Magnum (His babies).
Preceding in death were his parents; one brother, Dennis William Lotter; and two sisters-in-law, Kaye, and Dorothy Lotter.
Cremation will take place. A private celebration of his life will be held. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
