Craig Joseph Dudeck

Craig Joseph Dudeck, 70, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in his home.

 

He was born June 21, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, to Casimier and Dorothy (Michalski) Dudeck.

 

Craig formerly was a volunteer firefighter for Center Township for several years. He worked in security at Blue Chip Casino. Craig was strong-willed, had a big heart, and a great sense of humor. He was very personable and approachable for everyone, knowing many people out and about in town and at the grocery store. Craig was a wonderful husband and father.

 

On August 16, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana, he married, Diana Sue (Jaronik) Dudeck, who preceded him in death on January 23, 2014.

 

Also preceding in death were his parents.

 

Surviving are his three children, Kimberlee (Brian) Holleran of Princeton Junction, New Jersey, Amie (Doug) Widrig of Boardman, Ohio and Jason Dudeck of La Porte; and nine grandchildren, Connor, Jack, Bridget, and Ronan Holleran, Hudson, Mackenzie, and Griffin Widrig and Alec and Braydon Dudeck.

 

Cremation will take place. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
