Robert Harley Beck, 69, of Chesterton, formerly of Michigan City, passed away peacefully at 1:17 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2020, at Symphony of Chesterton.
He was born March 18, 1951, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Harley Hendrick Beck and Lois Florence (Baker) Beck.
Robert was a dedicated member of the Manitou Island Memorial Society, helping restore the original Beck Family home. He was a former member of Elks Lodge 432, Michigan City. Robert was an avid collector of antiques and collector and producer of stain glass. He was employed for Milton Roy Hays Corp for 13 years, Stephens Seal Corp as plant manager for 14 years and Electro Seal and Northern Indiana Manufacturing for 17 years.
Surviving are his son, Jason (Deanna Rennecker) Beck of Fort Wayne; former wife and friend, Patti Beck of Michigan City; former brother-in-law, Paul Mahler of Michigan City; and one granddaughter, Blaire Beck.
Preceding in death were his parents; paternal grandparents, Harley and Grace Beck; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Florence Baker.
