Kirk Douglas Humes, 52, of La Porte, IN, died March 27, 2020, at La Porte Hospital. 

He was born March 10, 1968, in Detroit, Michigan 52, son of Albert and Carolyn (Fults) Humes.

Kirk was born in La Porte and enjoyed listening to music, especially Classic Rock. He also enjoyed being around his family and friends. He enjoyed sports especially football and NASCAR. He was an avid fisherman too. Kirk always tried his best to put a smile on your face somehow-someway-he was liked and warm-hearted.

Surviving are three brothers; Mark Humes, La Porte; Darin (Dawn) Humes, La Porte; and Dennis (Kari) Humes, La Porte; a sister Candy Searing, La Porte; Uncle Doug and Sharon Rusch, of Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Alisyn McIntosh.

Arrangements are under the careful direction of Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. La Porte, IN 46350. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
