Genevieve (Jennie) Marie Bernacchi, 84, of Lakewood, Colorado, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020.

 

Genevieve was born September 9, 1935, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Bernard and Rose (Predz) Bym.

 

On November 27, 1954, Genevieve married Richard Bernacchi who preceded her in death on March 27, 2016.

 

Genevieve was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

 

Genevieve leaves behind a daughter, Cathleen (John) Rank of Aurora, CO; a son, David (Mickey) Bernacchi of La Porte, IN; grandchildren, Kate Horst, Eric, and Greg Bernacchi, and John and Lacey Rank; great-grandchildren, Anna Bella, Gabriella, Camryn, Sebastian and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a daughter, Julie Bernacchi.

Cremation has taken place. Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana is handling arrangements.
