Ronald William Schrier, 57, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020, at his home. 

   

Ron was born in La Porte, IN, on August 11, 1962 to Henry H.and Kathaleen L. (Cowgill) Schrier. 

 

He is survived by his sisters, Cynthia (Chris Sexton) Schrier of La Porte, Lauri (Calvin) Chapman of South Bend, and Pat (Wayne) Wiltfong of La Porte; his dog and best friend, Fred; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Schrier, Charlie Schrier, Robert Schrier, and Henry Schrier, Jr.; and great-nephew, Henry J. Koepke.

 

Ron loved making people laugh.  He enjoyed camping, campfires, and being outside.  Ron loved his dog "Fred" and enjoyed taking him to the lake.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte.
