Stephen A. Owen, 59, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Stephen was born December 21, 1960, in La Porte to Harry Phillip and Betty (Rosenbaum) Owen.  He was a welding supervisor with the Norfolk Southern Railroad and served in the Army National Guard for 21 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #400, Fish Lake. Stephen graduated from Ivy Tech with an associate degree.

 

On September 19, 1987, Stephen married Pamela Bybee who survives along with a son, Stephen (Cassie) Owen of New Carlisle; a granddaughter, Lilyann Hampton; and a sister, Ethel Jonas of La Porte.  He preceded in death by his parents, a son, Neil Andrew Owen and sister, Harriett Hay.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the American Legion, Post #400, 302 Lakeside Drive, Walkerton, Indiana 46574, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with military honors at 12 noon. 

 

Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
