Courtney Elizabeth (Dale) Reading, 26, of La Porte, passed on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Courtney was born in La Porte, Indiana on November 17, 1993, to Dewey Dale and Shawnn Mofield. She lived in La Porte for 26 years.
On October 9, 2016, she married Kevin Douglas Reading who survives. Also surviving are her son, Kevin Reading, Jr. of La Porte; 2 daughters, Marcella and Kesley Kinsey, both of La Porte; parents, Dewey Dale of La Porte and Shawnn (Danny) Mofield of Knox; 2 sisters, Harlee (Jeremy) Mofield of Portage and Ashley Wilson of Knox; grandparents, Eliza (Jake) Goad of Union Mills; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Courtney is preceded in death by her brother, William Darnell, Jr.; grandparents, Barbara Pfeiffer, Argyll McKeehan, Sr., and Dewey G. Dale, Sr.; and great-grandmother, “Granny” Bessie Bell Taylor.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 2 – 6 pm at the American Legion Post #83, 228 E. Lincolnway, La Porte, IN 46350.
